Bug ID: 69894
Summary: Managed Staplings not shown any more after upgrading
to httpd/2.4.66
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.4.66
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: mod_md
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
I have the following configuration (just an extract):
LoadModule md_module modules/mod_md.so
MDStapling on
MDStapleOthers on
...
<Location /status/ >
SetHandler server-status
</Location>
With httpd/2.4.65, if I call the URL /status/ I get the Managed Staplings of
md_ocsp_status:
...
<hr /> <table>
<tr><th>Srv</th><td>Child Server number - generation</td></tr>
<tr><th>PID</th><td>OS process ID</td></tr>
<tr><th>Acc</th><td>Number of accesses this connection / this child / this
slot</td></tr>
<tr><th>M</th><td>Mode of operation</td></tr>
<tr><th>CPU</th><td>CPU usage, number of seconds</td></tr>
<tr><th>SS</th><td>Seconds since beginning of most recent request</td></tr>
<tr><th>Req</th><td>Milliseconds required to process most recent
request</td></tr>
<tr><th>Dur</th><td>Sum of milliseconds required to process all
requests</td></tr>
<tr><th>Conn</th><td>Kilobytes transferred this connection</td></tr>
<tr><th>Child</th><td>Megabytes transferred this child</td></tr>
<tr><th>Slot</th><td>Total megabytes transferred this slot</td></tr>
</table>
<hr>
<h3>Managed Staplings</h3>
<table class='md_ocsp_status'><thead><tr>
<th class="Domain">Domain</th><th class="CertificateID">CertificateID</th><th
class="OCSPStatus">OCSPStatus</th><th
class="StaplingValid">StaplingValid</th><th class="Responder">Responder</th><th
class="Activity">Activity</th></tr>
</thead><tbody><tr
class="even"><td>other</td><td>3ef46db2ea4ffe9165b254c22b422a2ddea0833a</td><td>good</td><td>until
<span title='Fri, 05 Dec 2025 12:17:20 GMT - Fri, 05 Dec 2025 12:18:20 GMT'
style='white-space: nowrap;'>2025-12-05</span></td><td><a
href='http://localhost:44311'>localhost</a></td><td>Refresh <span title='Fri,
05 Dec 2025 12:18:00 GMT'>in ~35 seconds</span></td></tr></td></tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</body></html>
...
With httpd/2.4.66 the Managed Staplings are not showed any longer:
...
<hr /> <table>
<tr><th>Srv</th><td>Child Server number - generation</td></tr>
<tr><th>PID</th><td>OS process ID</td></tr>
<tr><th>Acc</th><td>Number of accesses this connection / this child / this
slot</td></tr>
<tr><th>M</th><td>Mode of operation</td></tr>
<tr><th>CPU</th><td>CPU usage, number of seconds</td></tr>
<tr><th>SS</th><td>Seconds since beginning of most recent request</td></tr>
<tr><th>Req</th><td>Milliseconds required to process most recent
request</td></tr>
<tr><th>Dur</th><td>Sum of milliseconds required to process all
requests</td></tr>
<tr><th>Conn</th><td>Kilobytes transferred this connection</td></tr>
<tr><th>Child</th><td>Megabytes transferred this child</td></tr>
<tr><th>Slot</th><td>Total megabytes transferred this slot</td></tr>
</table>
</body></html>
...
In the apache log, with httpd/2.4.65 (tracelevel on md:trace5), I see this:

with httpd/2.4.66 I have this:
[Fri Dec 05 13:19:04.792354 2025] [md:debug] [pid 3821494:tid 3821494]
mod_md.c(1024): AH10075: no mds to supervise

mod_md.c(1028): no ocsp to manage
[Fri Dec 05 13:19:04.792362 2025] [md:trace2] [pid 3821494:tid 3821494]
mod_md.c(1036): post_config done
Why can't it find the ocsp manager any more?
Please let me know if you need more information.
Many thanks for your help.
