I believe it does. Since the trunk0, iwn0, and em0 all get set to the
same LLADDR and plugging in the em0 cable simply makes em0 the
'master' without causing any other change dhclient can notice (i.e. a
routing socket message) dhclient doesn't do anything. In the 'same
subnet' scenario this works because your box still responds to the
same IP/LLADDR. On a different subnet your IP would have to be
different and since dhclient hasn't been told something has changed
that warrants a new lease ...

I guess ideally there should be a RTM_IFINFO message of some kind about trunk0.
