I also confirm commit above fixes issue with xhci(4) for me, both USB
2.0 and USB 3 devices are detected and working.

umass1 at uhub1 port 2 configuration 1 interface 0 "Kingston DTR30G2"
rev 3.00/1.00 addr 3
umass1: using SCSI over Bulk-Only
scsibus5 at umass1: 2 targets, initiator 0
sd2 at scsibus5 targ 1 lun 0: <Kingston, DTR30G2, PMAP> SCSI4 0/direct
removable serial.095116a2BE90C140ACA2
sd2: 30016MB, 512 bytes/sector, 61472768 sectors
