Hi there,
I am in the unfortunate situation that after having upgraded to
amd64-current as of July 25th the X server segfaults. Without X I
cannot log in the the local WLAN - neither links+ or lynks on the
console does activate the <Enter>-button after entering the
credetials.
The most obvious files are attached.
If I should provide more info just drop me a note.
Hi,
We need at least your /etc/xorg.conf file..
Thanks for the quick replys - I currently use the web frontend of my
mail account with a pc at my work place...
As I get access from my laptop to the net only using my mobile phone as
a hotspot it is easier to type from screen:
$ cat /etc/xorg.conf
Section "Device"
Identifier "Card0"
Drifer "intel"
Option "AccelMethod" "UXA"
EndSection
I followed Stuart's advice and after moving the xorg.conf to _xorg.conf
the X server started as expected. Now I could even provide a real copy
of the xorg.conf...
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Best,
STEFAN
