I still can't reproduce this. From your first mail, I opened 10 xterms in random locations, then an emacs window (has the WM_TAKE_FOCUS Atom, and it's the active one), then I started cycling. No mater what client I ended up on, it always has input focus, regardless of WM_TAKE_FOCUS or not. Is there a reliable way to duplicate the issue?
