I sometimes use X11 on this machine, starting it manually by "startx". However X11 was not running under any of these crashes, only code from /src. As the crash reliably happened after 3 - 10 minutes uptime I never got around to start X11, I was only trying to update the machine. > I think it is worth trying wiithout drm. Please send the complete dmesg > when booting with this tweak, so we can see that disabling drm > worked. > > Does it affect whether the crash happens? > There are no crash with drm disabled. I'm attaching the dmesg to this mail. So the update to radeondrm are the cause. Without drm I only get a small square in the middle of the screen for console, and X11 won't start at all, saying there's no screen. I didn't have time to investigate the thing with X11 further today however. With drm disabled the screen on this machine will probably not be very useful, however the machine don't crash. -- Eivind Eide "ONLY THOSE WHO ATTEMPT THE IMPOSSIBLE WILL ACHIEVE THE ABSURD" - Oceania Association of Autonomous Astronauts
