Yes indeed. Which is sad but true.
Have you actually read the source code yet?
If so, what parts are puzzling you?
Have you tried any diff's yourself?
Did they work or do nothing or make things work better?
Have you read enough OpenBSD code to see the overall picture, at least
in part?
Have you even done an existing build without any changes to src?

Do these things first. Understand what is going on with this problem in
depth or at least as much as you can. Then you may get help.
If someone can help. If someone has the time to help. If someone wants
to help. If this matters to you, you may be the only person who can fix
this problem. That would be the best help possible for OpenBSD.
Be the superhero yourself. Why not? Seriously, why not?
