so it seems you are correct. Bumping the touchpad does cause this behavior - if I'm careful *not* to do this while typing on the internal keyboard, it seems fine. > If you "boot -c" at the boot loader, and then "disable pms*" do the > messages still appear when you use the keyboard? Disabling pms does indeed stop the messages (touching the touchpad doesn't produce any errors now).
