Yes, but doesn't QEMU use apple's virtualization layer underneath it? It's not doing machine emuation there. (QEMU+apple's virt stuff, similar to QEMU+KVM, or vmd+vmm). So if you're using whatever viorng maps to in that layer, it could be the same issue.
