Sorry for the deja vu… Have been trying to fresh install OpenBSD 7.4 (amd64) on an HP Z2 SFF G9 Workstation Desktop PC via USB stick (install74.img) and getting what seems to be a "entry point at 0x10010000" hang that was happening a few years ago and was addressed (https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-cvs&m=160408675418243&w=2). Since that time, it seems like the only similar issue I’ve been able to find is from May of last year: https://www.mail-archive.com/misc@openbsd.org/msg185406.html, but there seem to be no follow up/discussion.
Near as I can tell, it seems unrelated to the memory block size, but I’ll admit that as a hobbyist, I’m more than out of my depth here. Thanks, -RM Unfortunately, there is no “Legacy Boot” option on the HP BIOS for me to try, so I can’t Information below —————————— Probing: pc0 mem[636K 1760M 30712M] Disk: hd0 hd1* cd0 >> OpenBSD/amd64 BOOTX64 3.65 boot> Cannot open hd0a:/etc/random.seed: No such file or directory Booting hd0a:/7.4/amd64/bsd.rd: 3969732+1655808+3886664+0+708608 [109+444888+297417]+0xa76798 entry point at 0x1001000 —————————— Product: HP Z2 SFF G9 Workstation Desktop PC Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700K Cache (L1/2/3/): 768KB / 8MB / 30MB Processor Speed: 5300MHz Processor Cores: 16 MicroCode Revision: 11D Processor Stepping: B-0 Memory: 32768MB DDR5 @ 4400MHz DIMM 1: 16GB Hynix/Hyundai DIMM 2: Empty DIMM 3: 16GB Hynix/Hyundai DIMM 4: Empty Storage: Samsung MZVL2512HCJQ-00BH1-S63ZNX1TB81575 (512GB) BIOS: U50 Ver. 02.04.02 11/06/2023 ME Firmware Version: 16.1.30.2264 ME Firmware Mode: ME Disabled Audio Controller: Realtek ALC3252 Video BIOS Version: Intel GOP Driver [17.0.1077] Reference Code Revision: C.0.BA.10 Super I/O Firmware Version: 12.3.5 USB Type-C Controller(s) Firmware Version: Onboard PD Front : 2.2.0
