I have seen this behavior on the past two releases, so it's not new. I did not report it because, well, i386 on amd64 - and I only use it as an i386 build system. The listed workaround of a manual install instead of autoinstall succeeds, and the installed i386 guest works correctly (timekeeping issues aside). Thanks. Brian
