As a quick follow-up: The problem goes away with an external Monitor
connected through a USB-C dock. Haven't tried a "direct" connection, but
these are also USB-C internally on the Framework.
This is running with machdep.allowaperture=0. I will try if setting it
to 1 changes something.
Not sure if it is the same issue, but I have also experienced occasional
stuck (modifier) keys that get unstuck by switching to a text console
and back to X.
Overall it feels to me like a timing-sensitive misinteraction between X
and wscons. I will gladly take instructions for further testing.
