Hi all, I wanted to post an update to this. The system seems stable if only running the Bitcoin daemon. With Monero, it still crashes. I tuned some Monero flags and had the same effect. I thought to try bsd.sp, and that also crashed. Took several hours. Had to manually fsck the filesystem even though it was mounted with sync. I am not sure what to try at this point. Does anyone have a more straight forward thing, perhaps already an established port, that readily crashes 7.8 and not 7.7? Maybe to those who have crashes with multimedia on 7.8, can you try bsd.sp and see if it still crashes? -Henrich
