After sysupgrading my Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 6P home router on 18.12.26 from
what's probably a one (two tops) week old snap to

        OpenBSD 7.8-current (GENERIC.MP) #112: Fri Dec 12 22:29:50 MST 2025

the network dies completely after about a day of uptime:

cnmac5: cannot allocate command buffer from free pool allocator
        cnmac5: failed to transmit packet

This gets spammed every second for multiple used cnmac(4) interfaces,
dhcp[6]leased fail to get leases/prefixes over [vlan over] cnmac,
IPv6 link-local via vport over veb-with-cnmac is unreachable,
I can only connect via serial console and for now reboot the machine.

The previous snap's dmesg rotated out due to log spam as this usually
happens when I'm not around:

        er-6p# zgrep -c -e 'failed to transmit packet' /var/log/messages.?.gz

        /var/log/messages.0.gz:3778
        /var/log/messages.1.gz:5399
        /var/log/messages.2.gz:7640
        /var/log/messages.3.gz:8378
        /var/log/messages.4.gz:8327

(syslog's dedup doesn't kick in since the two lines alternate.)

This is the second time since that upgrade, no reboots other than the two
to promptly restore networking at home.

Previously it worked for months on 7.8-stable, then weeks on periodic 7.8 snaps.

The only change in network config was a) simplifying vlan/vport/veb/cnmac into
vlan/cnmac after dlg's vlan-aware veb and b) mounting NFS over cnmac as client
for occasional builds.

Given that the allocation failures happen on cnmac interfaces outside of these
constructs, I conclude they have nothing to do with it.

I'll try to extract more info via console once it happens while I'm around.
