Please show ifconfig output before this happens.
Then stop dhcpleased:
# rcctl stop dhcpleased

and run it in the foreground with debug output:

# dhcpleased -dv

Then run ifconfig to reproduce the issue and show the commands you are
running.

Please show the debug output and indicate at what point you run the
ifconfig command that makes things go wrong.
