Chris Johns commented on a discussion on rtems/config/rtems-gcc-message.bset: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/tools/rtems-source-builder/-/merge_requests/227#note_145054 > +%ifn %{defined gcc_build_date} > +%error No GCC build date defined. The requirement to handle no build date in build system is to allow existing tools in the field to work and so avoid needing a forced tool update and to support tools not built with the RSB. I would like all RSB built tools to have a build date to document the API level they contain. The build date is a nice way to handle an API change. The inability to check in the build system only means the build breaks in a possibility confusing way. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/tools/rtems-source-builder/-/merge_requests/227#note_145054 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
