@D3athSkulll I would agree with Kinsey on this issue. While your logic may be 
correct, it is the standard for RTEMS that modifications and fixes like this 
that affect core functionality *must* be tested on physical hardware, both to 
verify the logic as correct and to ensure that any edge cases are caught. There 
have been instances in the past where "what should work" did not work as 
anticipated.
