This bug was fixed today by to allow for 4.x. Does this mean that 4.x
is supported, or just that sanity won't kill the build and you're on the
bleeding edge that hopefully "should" work?

As an FYI, 3.81 is no longer available from the normal Cygwin "setup"
distribution. The "previous" version is now 3.82.90-1.

The warning bears repeating: there is no 'undo' in Cygwin, so be
careful about updating to some bleeding edge version of the tools that
won't work with the build. This is why we probably will not update our
internal build systems again until JDK 9.
