I just checked and it looks like that are only 3 or 4 changes in jdk8/build that are not in jdk8/tl. Are these going into jdk8/jdk8 this week? If not then could you just pull them into jdk8/tl before pushing the changes that remove the old build?

As regards timing then jdk8/tl currently has ~50 changes backed up for jdk8-b117. Lana usually takes the snapshot for integration on Wednesday @ 10am PT. It might be best to wait for this week's snapshot to be taken before pushing the big changes to jdk8/tl. If Wednesday > 10am PT delays you then we could ask Lana about taking the snapshot early or else just skipping the integration for b117.
