Hi Magnus, thanks for your understanding:) I think it's not really the changes which are good changes by themselves. I think it's the development model and the fact that the integration takes so much time and that we ran into the jdk8 closing time frame.
We will have one more round of integration trouble when you remove the old build system and move the files of the new build system into the old location. Hopefully, bigger changes will slow down afterwards...
