Tracking hotspot dependencies in a full build ?

Did a full build (images) then edited a hotspot header file, ran "make 
images" again and nothing was updated. :(

Is there something missing from the dependency management here? Is it 
the lack of full integration of the hotspot build into the full build?

Any suggestions on what I can delete to force things to rebuild (short 
of doing a clean of course)
