We process healthy newborns under the mothers institutional claim for any routine care while in the hospital, when the newborn leaves the hospital any claims are filed using the subscribers contract number (not their own) then we assign a dependent number that will identify the newborn as the subscribers dependent. All benefits are established based on the subscribers contract number.
