Chris,

True to a point. However, keep in mind that the Leapfrong Group is focusing
on health care outcomes and not administrative simplification. Their focus
is on improving the health of their employees through improved health care
delivery and the application of technology to minimize (eliminate)
medication administration errors, more intensivists (one could read
registered nurses here), etc. In other words, if the health care delivered
to their employees provides for improved outcomes, their employees are
healthier, have shorter lengths of stay when hospitalizaed, return to work
sooner and are more productive....all of which result in less cost to the
employer which is purchasing the health care coverage.

I don't see where Leapfrong is putting any attention at all to the financial
transactions required for a health care provider to get paid for delivering
health care.

You are probably right, David. I just thought it was interesting that
healthcare's corporate consumers are also beginning to drive the "admin
simp" effort. There is still a popular belief among providers that this
"movement" to streamline the business of healthcare is just a bunch of
washington bureaucrats driving us toward some unrealistic and unattainable
goal. Apparently our big customers believe otherwise.

regards,
Chris
