*Job Description :*
The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Installation,
maintenance, and monitoring of the WebSphere MQ Software across CareFirst
AIX platforms. Also responsible for creating and maintaining MQ objects in
support of applications, resolving MQ connectivity problems, assisting the
developers, and debugging problems. Some of these activities must be
performed outside normal business hours and on weekends to minimize the
impact to our customers. There are 24/7 on-call responsibilities.
The position requires:
• an individual with *broad WebSphere MQ administration experience on UNIX
(AIX) and z/OS*.
• *extensive knowledge and experience with configuring and managing MQ queue
managers, managing MQ queue managers, MQSC commands, MQ control commands, MQ
Security.**
*• an individual capable to of responding to alerts received by various
monitoring systems and resolving the problems.
• *advanced UNIX (AIX) skills*. Candidates must be capable of
writing/editing shell scripts.
*• excellent oral* and written communication skills.
