Java experience is a must
Tapestry experience would REALLY stand out

Java Programmer

The “Case Get” service was work that was previously done by the
American Defender (Amd) vendor. This service needs to be refactored to
make it more robust, less brittle, and more extensible. We are looking
for two consultants to do “paired programming”.

• Experience in defining the solution architecture for such
programs
• Experience in service oriented analysis and design, OOAD,
and service modeling
• Working experience in SOA products such as ESB, web
services management, asynchronous messaging.
• Experience JEE, Hibernate 2/3, and Web Services.
• Having experience on frameworks such as Spring and
Tapestry will be an added advantage
• Experience in improving transaction processing.

List of Deliverables: ¬
• Build this alternative implementation with appropriate
documentation and unit testing
• Determine possibility of reprocessing failed messages.
• Extend transaction boundaries to minimize database
queries.
• Merge into our current product and work with staff to
deploy.
• Explore opportunities to migrate sections of the service
to Hibernate 3.

Impact/Outcome:
• Greater stability of system.
• Will allow for future batch processing of historical data
to be entered into the system. Currently this requires significant
overhead
• Will allow for easier maintenance and extensibility
