- 6 years of Network Managing experience.
* Strong problem analysis and critical thinking skills; excellent verbal
and written communication skills.
* Ability to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools
to troubleshoot highly complex systems in a crisis environment, identify
root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options.
* Ability to balance multiple priorities in pressure situations.
** Extensive applied knowledge of LAN technology and protocols (VLAN,
VTP, HSRP)and equipment: core and edge routing and switching (10/100/1000 Mb
Ethernet),*
- Extensive applied knowledge of WAN / MAN technologies: T1, DS3, VPN
etc.
* WAN and access circuit sizing and provisioning
** Extensive applied knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP,
policy based, etc.**
** Extensive applied knowledge of TCP/IP (TCP, IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP,
DLSW, NAT, etc.)
** Applied knowledge of WLAN technology: 802.11A/B/G, access points,
Wireless Control System, coverage/spectrum management, WEP, WPA, bridging,
WDS, etc.**
** Experience configuring and managing Cisco network equipment
** Experience with network management and monitoring tools and processes:
protocol analyzers, HP Openview, CiscoWorks, trending tools, etc.**
** Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skills may also include:
Applied knowledge of firewall and security technology and equipment:
DMZ*s, rules definition, ACL*s, VPN*s, IPSec, HTTPS, forward and reverse
proxy, web content filtering, intrusion detection, Radius, 802.1Q, strong
authentication, etc.
Applied Knowledge on Application Load balancing on Cisco based devices
- Applied knowledge of DNS Administration on Windows and Linux
