*PEOPLESOFT TECHNICAL SPECIALIST*

*Dallas, TX*

*6 Months+*



*This is an upgrade from 8.9 to 9.1* and the project will be 6 months.  They
need to interview ASAP and The interviews will be technical phone screens
then in-person.

The Technical Specialist will also assist with the data center migration by
testing the new environment and working with various groups to find out what
went wrong (DBAs, hardware, network, etc...)

The PeopleSoft Technical Specialist will work hand in hand with application
developers, support and Business from Finance and HR.



* **Job Responsibilities*: (Duties may include, but not limited to all or
some of the following)

   - Test HR and Finance applications and trouble shoot any issues using
   appropriate systems and processes and ensure timely resolution, tracking,
   and monitoring
   - Provide level 2 support, investigation and resolution where needed
   - Escalate any issues as appropriate to system providers (Oracle, Talent
   Tech, others) and IT support as needed, drive any resolution needed
   - Partner with Business, and IT personnel to support business operations
   to satisfy inquiries, resolve issues, and support applications
   - Modify or develop new queries, nVision and Crystal reports.
   - Produce necessary system, process and testing documentation.
   - Support PeopleSoft system upgrade and patch initiatives.
   - Establish the appropriate utilization of new features in the PeopleSoft
   upgrade release to maximize the web-based capabilities.
   - As requested, undertake project based duties in the IT system
   implementation lifecycle such as analysis and testing.
   - Support systems integration and interfacing efforts across all modules.
   - Trouble shoot and work with Web / System / DB administrators to resolve
   issues
   - Web Logic, Tuxedo, MS SQL server
   - All other duties as required or requested.

*Experience:*



   - Minimum Bachelors Degree in an IT discipline
   - Minimum *of 5+ years of experience in a PeopleSoft support,
   development, or systems support role*
   - Demonstrated Knowledge in one or more of the following PeopleSoft *8.x/9.x
   modules:** *
   - *GL, AP, AR, T/E, Projects, Contracts, Billing, HR, T/L** ***
   - *Strong understanding of PC, Windows environment, SQL, and* *PeopleSoft
   reporting tools (Query, Crystal, and nVision) , Application Designer, IB
   messaging, SQR, Application engine.** *
   - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all
   levels of employees
   - Experience with PeopleSoft user security administration
   - Ability to understand and document needs, identify/track issues, and
   monitor trends
   - Experience with systems implementation processes and practices
   - Experience with testing execution
