Title: Applications Architect - Siebel CRM
Role Summary/Purpose:
Application Architect will be responsible for defining the Siebel
product architectural standards, working closely with internal/external
technical team(s) across different business units. Candidate will
establish technical review criteria and manage review processes, leading
technical requirements, technical architecture, and infrastructure and
integration strategy development. Must be able to manage internal
customer expectations and sc.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as technical expert for the design and implementation of CRM
(Sales, Marketing and Service) applications for the businesses.
- Provide Technical expertise/leadership in design patterns,
architecting of solution / application, multiple business requirement
management & change management in Siebel CRM (7.x/8.x) Applications
(Sales, Callcenter).
- Interface with various stakeholders on functional/technical
Architecture & design aspect of projects and draw out a common
technology strategy across multiple business life cycles and diverse
processes.
- Overseeing & assisting in the functional & technical management of
Siebel project delivery components as they relate to projects in the
Siebel Area.
- Effect short term & some long term-term business goals and serve as
technical expert on assigned area's application (Siebel), including
code, interface & data flow.
- Responsible for the maintenance of in-place programs; coordinates with
project teams & business analysts to translate detailed specifications
into new or enhanced application solutions.
- Functioning as the facilitator for technical resolution between the
development team and Business / IM Teams, communicating proactively with
stakeholders and team members on risks, mitigation plans, and any
expected delays/ issues.
- Maintain peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure,
operations, etc) to support effective implementations.
- Maintaining awareness of and control over all technical issues in
projects. Includes data, configuration, and other technical issues
(reports, database performance, etc.) contributes to defining the
application architecture 'vision' and application build principles.
- Provide technical expertise & counsel to management, other
organizations, & special projects personnel.
- Work closely with Technology Infrastructure team (TSG) team in driving
Siebel infrastructure related programs such as technology refresh,
capacity planning, clustering, load balancing & Siebel Administration.
- Collaborate with management in developing technical directions,
setting objectives, and setting realistic and challenging goals.
- Coordinate program support activities, including the development of
internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and
benchmarks, and developing training plans.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant experience, 4+ years of Siebel configuration
and/or Siebel data integration experience.
- Good mix of Siebel technical and functional knowledge along with some
project management experience. Should have strong technical acumen.
- Expert knowledge of systems integration, applications development
highly desirable.
- Knowledge of systems architectures (e.g. Siebel, other packages, and
custom development experience).
- Good understanding of EIM and of extraction, transformation, and
loading (ETL) procedures.
- Excellent knowledge/experience in core Siebel applications and Siebel
technology areas- Siebel tools, Workflow Manager, Assignment Manager,
integration objects.
- Good knowledge of Veritas clustering, Siebel native load balancing &
actuate reporting.
- Siebel certification desired, not mandatory.
- Ability to adapt to new CRM technologies such as Salesforce.com, big
machine
- Good oral & written communication, strong analytical skills.
- Good understanding of SOA concepts, demonstrate experience building
application that consume web services.
- Exposure to manage delivery through IT vendors.
- Significant years of experience managing client projects in positions
of increasing responsibility in the delivery of business consulting,
systems development, and systems Integration.

- PMP Certified (desirable).
- Quality and cost driven.
- Preferably experienced in CAP (Change Acceleration Process).
