Job Title: Sr. Microstrategy Developer w/d Certification Location: Alpharetta, GA Duration: 4+ Months Contract w/d Extension REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years hands-on business intelligence development, administration, and implementation experience using MicroStrategy version 8 or 9. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: MicroStrategy 8 or 9. JOB DESCRIPTION: Designs, develops, implements, enhances and maintains MicroStrategy reports and dynamic dashboards and ROLAP data cubes using MicroStrategy version 9.x; web, desktop and mobile. INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE: Experience in the financial services, electronic payments industry (e.g. credit card and/or debit card) highly beneficial but not imperative. RESPONSIBILITIES: . Create, test, troubleshoot, deliver, enhance and maintain dynamic dashboards, scorecards, reports, ROLAP cubes. . Architect the MicroStrategy and EDW components. . Participate in the design, build, release and deployment procedures. . Provide technical knowledge and development for MicroStrategy's suite of tools. . Utilize various MicroStrategy reporting tools to deliver insights to targeted audiences (e.g., Web Reporter, Web Analyst, Wed Professional, and Report Services). . Develop and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards and end-user applications. . Design, develop and implement MicroStrategy BI systems enabling non-technical users to leverage data for strategic decision-making. . Maintain ongoing functionality of MicroStrategy software and hardware environments. . Coordinate and perform data quality validation on new and existing reports. . Participate in requirements gathering and design for ongoing development projects. . Support development on data/database/meta-data issues. . Managed release and deployment of data solutions. . Exposure to databases and ability to analyze and understand schema design. SKILLS: . Experience in MicroStrategy Administration Enterprise Manager, SDK framework and Web customizations. . Hands on performance tuning experience including configuring VLDB settings. . Full lifecycle project experience in developing MicroStrategy BI solutions, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. . MicroStrategy Intelligence Server and Web administration. . Experience with MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server. . Experience with MicroStrategy SDK. . Dashboard, scorecard and reports design and development. . Ability to develop complex level metrics, filters and prompted reports. . MicroStrategy server administration, report building, advanced metric creations, and dashboard development. . Ability to guide clients in aspects of MicroStrategy schema work, security setup, MicroStrategy upgrade planning. . Ability to provide both logical and physical data modeling. . Ability to use most common SQL Server services. . Expertise in SQL and database scripting. . Working knowledge of data warehousing. . Proficient with BI & ETL tool development and implementation processes. . Proficient in database architectures and data mappings. . Strong dedication to quality customer service and a working knowledge of service support and delivery procedures. . Strong problem solving/analytical skills. . Ability to understand business requirements and develop technical specs. .
