Must Haves: 4 year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience 6+ years experience in database administration 3+ years Linux/Unix/AIX experience operating system experience Oracle and SQL Certification preferred Proactively monitor, test, collect and analyze system performance statistical data to improve quality of the database environment. Plan and coordinate the implementation and support of Oracle and MS-SQL products. Patch, upgrade, and maintain database technologies. Design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise data base standards. Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security. Allocate systems storage and develop plans for future storage requirements. Proactively analyzes data base trends and build appropriate response solutions. Performance optimization analysis, design, and implementation. Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) Maintain infrastructure documentation as it relates to database infrastructure systems configuration, support, and processes. Administrator and maintain database system security standards, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor infrastructure.
