Sr. Facilities Engineer – Mechanical

Qualifications:

   - 3+ years of directly related IT work experience, with strong
   infrastructure IT Facilities background
   - Must possess knowledge of technology industry
   - Background in mechanical engineering, design, construction and
   commissioning for mission critical facilities
   - Displays authority and self-assurance when dealing with people at all
   organizational levels.
   - Copes effectively with stress and pressure; handles day to day work
   challenges confidently; is willing and able to adjust to multiple demands,
   shifting priorities and rapid change.
   - Develops and delivers communications (both oral and written) that have
   clarity and impact.
   - Understand recognized Architecture, Engineering, and Contractor
   project delivery conventions including roles, responsibilities, document
   development and control, commissioning and turn-over through operations
   - Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously utilizing and
   directing external engineering firms as required
   - Familiar with emerging technologies employed in data center or other
   mission-critical facility designs
   - Familiar in DDC/PLC building automation, cooling systems, thermal
   modeling and simulation design (CFD); wet, dry and gaseous fire suppression
   and life safety systems; their industry conventions; codes, standards and
   practices; and major OEM offerings
   - Familiar with mechanical codes, industry standards, OEM product and
   systems offerings
   - Good communication skills, both written and oral
   - Direct plant operations experience, or experience with operating
   engineers who have provided design feedback
   - Training program development and implementation
   - Reliability Centered Maintenance analysis and implementation
   - Experience in engineering economics, or working with business analysts
   in providing value-based solutions
   - Ability to work with key stakeholders to make complex recommendations
   involving multiple competing priorities.
   - Approaches conflicts as opportunities; understands others quickly; can
   find common ground without comprising total position
   - Demonstrated experience in influencing change outside of span of
   control or authority
   - Strong oral, written and formal presentation skills including ability
   to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
   - Defines the critical workflow for executing processes and projects.
   - Prioritizes project activities in order of greatest importance (i.e.,
   maintains a "critical path" focus). *Collaborates with vendors and
   stakeholders to define reports, data and formats that support IT
   decision-making.
   - Accurately identifies conflicts and synergies between different
   cultural norms and values (e.g. ethnic, corporate culture, management
   styles, religious differences, etc.) when working with others.
   - Generates and leverages "win-win" strategies to gain support from
   others outside the team for key goals (e.g., promote a "one-team" approach
   for sharing common processes and practices).
   - Builds a network of strong, collaborative relationships (e.g., with
   customers, employees, business colleagues, and external partners) that
   increases collaboration and communication.
   - Ability to implement new and innovative processes in the spirit of
   continuous improvement.
   - Challenges established ways of doing things to improve the
   organization’s capabilities around commitments, actions and results.
   - Ability to make infrastructure investment recommendations
   - Uses quantitative measures/indicators in analyzing problems,
