*ONLY LOCALS REQUIRED: * ** *Client: Insurance Company* * POS: Cognos Developer LOC: Jersey City, NJ (F2F is required) Duration: 6+ Months Required Skills: The Cognos Developer will be responsible for the Analysis, Design & Development, Testing, and implementation of various Business Intelligence Reporting initiatives. Responsibilities will include; report/cube development and maintenance, user training, ad hoc requests, etc. This individual must have the proven ability to architect, manage, administer, develop and support reporting using the complete Cognos 8.4 and 7.4 toolset (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Powerplay Transformer, and Powerplay Studio). This individual must have through knowledge of relational databases. Basic Qualifications: Must have at least 4-8 years of Cognos development experience including proven experience with Report Studio, Framework, and Transformer 1. Must have 4-6 years of business systems analysis, testing, development, and support experience with proven track record. 2. Maintain existing DTS and SSIS packages for ETL processes 3. Must have strong problem solving, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills. 4. Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills. 5. Knowledge of relational databases within a Data Warehouse environment. Experience working in a data warehouse environment is a plus. 6. Experience using SQL Management Studio. 7.
