Local to CA only Key Responsibilities: • Our client is a well-known global leader in high transaction e-commerce solutions. They currently have an immediate opening for a Senior DBA to work closely with the development group on database design and implementation projects. Qualifications • Strong experience with large scale Oracle Database implementations. • Ideal candidate will have experience working in a financial institution or internet company with large amounts of data. • Experience with backup and recovery plans, implement and maintain database security, perform capacity planning. • BS Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field. • Must have 5+ years of extensive experience in managing Oracle databases and related technologies. • Must have extensive experience in physical/logical database design. • Must be able to do performance tuning and monitoring. • Proficient with Partitioning and clustering. • Solid experience with Oracle databases 10G and related products. • Experience with distributed databases is a plus. • Required knowledge of various hot and cold Oracle backup and recovery scenarios. • Must be a hardcore Oracle DBA person.
