Data Modeling, ER/Studio and Metadata portal. Excellent opportunity with one of our top clients, a prestigious financial services company in the Chicago Loop, with a need for a Data Modeler to work on a contract basis scheduled to run through the end of the year. The selected candidate will be instrumental in the upgrade to ER/Studio v9 including metadata portal and repository, and will assist the Data Architect in the development and maintenance of metadata portal and repository standards, guidelines, methods and procedures. You will also be involved with training designers on the use of the tools. In addition, you may need to program repository interfaces. Excellent work environment with a very supportive staff. Requirements: 3-4 yrs. experience in all phases of Systems Development Life Cycle, and in the use of analysis methods in data modeling. 3-4 yrs. experience in the use of ER / Studio ( v9 or v8 ), including Repository and Metadata Portal. Experience with other repository or metadata tools would be a plus. 3-4 yrs. experience in Metadata Repository Maintenance. Relational DBMS ( DB2 ) background is preferred, although there will be no physical DB work. Programming background ( ASP a plus ). Must have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with others and assist in training.
