Job Title: SQL DBA Location: Las Vegas, NV Duration: 6+ months Description: Duties: Position will function as a Database Administrator for design, development, testing, and deployment of a database for a major justice application. Duties will include: q Learn the requirements of the application and system architecture q Develop a data migration plan and migrate legacy data to the new database q Participate in the development of the data requirements for the application design specifications. q Develop an entity relationship diagram to depict a conceptual model of the system q Develop a logical and physical database design q Develop and maintain database documentation q Manage and control access permissions and privileges q Develop and test back-up and recovery plans q Ensure storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly q Monitor performance and tune the database q Work closely and communicate with project team members to achieve project goals q Demonstrate professional organization, documentation, communication and interpersonal skills q Attend meetings, maintain and communicate accurate status of work performed q Maintain current knowledge of technology Special Skills: q Knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server 2008r2 database planning, design, migration, and implementation, and performance management q Demonstrates proficiencies in MS SQL Server 2008r2 Server Integration Services (SSIS) q Demonstrates proficiencies in MS SQL Server 2008r2 Server databases administration and maintenance plans q Demonstrates proficiencies in MS SQL Server 2008r2 Reporting Services (SSRS) q MS SQL Server 2008r2 Database Administration, Backup and Recovery q MS Windows 2008r2 and Microsoft Clustering Services (MSCS) q Knowledge and experience in project development, application analysis, design, programming, testing and installation q Experience with major projects and working with multiple agencies q Must have five (5) or more years of database management experience q Experience and skill with Microsoft .NET, SQL Server and database management tools q Experience with MS Visual Studio and MS Team Foundation Server q Knowledge and experience with the operation of personal computers, standard office software, programming, and testing tools required. q Ability to communicate and translate technology and issues in understandable terms for audiences: stakeholders, end users, technical/business analyst staff, business analyst staff, and technology vendors from multiple agencies/companies q Ability to self-direct and work with minimal direction to meet critical deadlines q Ability to prepare clear, concise and detailed database design, testing, issue, system, implementation plan documentation q May be required to drive a personal motor vehicle in the course of the work q Will be required to work onsite Please send me your Updated Resume and these details ASAP: Full Name: Contact No: E-mail ID: Availability: Visa Status/Citizenship: Current Location: Rate on C2C: Regards, Ravi Gain America, Inc.
