Position : Network Engineer Location: Longmont, CO Duration: 2 years Contract *Job Description: *Network / Data Overall Purpose Responsible for providing custom data network operational support, design, engineering, and planning for complex global data network and communications projects involving TCP/IP and related protocol connectivity for networks supporting client customers in a 7x24 environment *Role and responsibilities:* - Responsible for the management of the interoperability between Cisco and Juniper Layer 3 Platform, through the use of alarm and ticket systems, individual designed customized scripts, customer notification, and Business Partner escalations - Responsible for deploying new routers, switches, and trunk capacity as well as configuring them - Responsibilities include providing real time in-depth analysis and real time trouble resolution of incidents associated with the CISCO, Juniper, and associated Operations Support Systems, and Data Communications Network Technology platforms *Education:* - Bachelors degree is preferred - Typically high school diploma CCNA is a Requirement 3+ years and experience in a related field *Required certifications:* - CCNA - Technical support of Cisco LAN network gear (switches/routers). - Inventory management, IP address assignments, change management, some cabling. - Must work well with customers and peers. - Participation in various projects to meet customer requirements. - Candidate must have working knowledge of configuring and supporting LAN network equipment, primarily Cisco. - Perform network day-to-day 24x7 support activities and also perform task/project assignments. *To be considered qualified submitted candidates must have:* - CCNA - Cisco LAN/WAN Knowledge (Including Nexus) - Routing knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP - Good Communication skills written/verbal - Works well independently while recognizing the larger team - Previous ticketing experience. - Good Communication skills written/verbal *Skill:* - Cisco Expert Required - Routing Expert Required - Communication Expert Required - Network documentation Intermediate Required - Teaming Expert Required - CCNA Expert Required - Flexibility Expert Required - Previous ticket experience Intermediate Required - Flexibility 24X7 Expert Required -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Business_Intelligence" group.
