*Job Title: Operational Reporting Analyst - SAS*

*Location: Dayton, OH*

*Duration: 6 Months*

*Operational Reporting Analyst Overview:*

Develop reporting that meets the information needs of the organization.
Work with the business areas to identify and implement opportunities for
process improvement that impact performance, quality, and/or profit through
the delivery of business intelligence, analysis and/or reporting.  Assist
in the verification of data utilized by the organization for delivering
business intelligence.



*Top Skill Sets:*

BASE SAS Development.

Understanding of Claims processing, specifically Facets claims processing.

Ability to work independently and critically think through issues and dive
into details with the business and within the data.



*Operational Reporting Analyst  Job Responsibilities: *

Develop routine operational/analytical reports as needed.

Conduct examination and explanation of complex data relationships that
answer questions identified either within the department or by other
departments.

Generate graphics that effectively describe, explore and summarize analysis
for communication to appropriate parties.

Incorporate critical thinking skills and judgment in the process to
determine best course of action for each inquiry/problem.

Investigation of data that shows a pattern or indicates a significant
variation from expected.

Perform any other job related instructions as requested, with reasonable
accommodation.



*Job Requirements: *

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Training in statistical process control methodology preferred.

5+ years’ experience in data analysis and/or analysis programming.

Healthcare delivery and/or payer experience preferred.

Proven understanding of database relationships required.

Exceptional programming, Excel, and/or Access skills required.

SAS experience preferred.

Graphic development/presentation skills preferred.

Advanced computer skills.

Statistical skills preferred.

Critical listening and thinking skills.

Decision making/problem solving skills.

Communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Knowledge of managed care preferred.

Knowledge of healthcare data coding such as CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-9, DRG and
Revenue Codes preferred.
