*Job Title* Sr. Oracle EBS DBA Upgrade *Project Location* Nyc, NY *Duration* 3 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI:- Telephonice + Face To Face* * 10 years plus experience required and LOCAL canidates ONLY* Technology Services Team. The candidate needs to assist the business analysts in researching solutions to business problems by utilizing Oracle Applications standard functionality, where possible. Assist in identifying gaps and areas of improvement where we can leverage Oracle functionality and be able to effectively lead Application Admins and Database Administrators. Be familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle Process and proficient at writing technical design documents. Test, debug and documents and maintains those programs. Complete all technical development tasks pertaining to applications per approved projects and allocated budgets. This candidate needs proficient and have firsthand experience upgrading 11i to R12, building RAC clusters and upgrading to 11.2.0.4 *RESPONSIBILITIES* To take primary role in upgrading our Middle tier EBS environment from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3 To take primary role in upgrading our EBS RAC DB tier environment from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.4 Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite applications architecture, configuration and troubleshooting. Identify solutions to meet gaps between existing Oracle architecture and business requirements. Design solutions that meet Oracle customization standards and minimize upgrade impact. Translate challenging business requirements into solutions that leverage standard Oracle functionality as much as possible while prudently deciding on customization where applicable. Be a change agent for improving business processes through strong business partnerships and proven track record of delivering innovative / best-fit solutions to business problems. Demonstrates an ability to develop creative and innovative IT solutions. Leverages a cross functional view when developing strategies and applying solutions. Review 3rd party applications for technical concerns and provide input on application architecture. Assist in implementation of 3rd party and in-house developed applications and their documentation. Provides information and makes timely business decision to answer questions and resolve issues. Actively participates in functional design sessions. Synthesizes information quickly and makes appropriate requisite decisions. Actively participates in Oracle related technologies by conducting ongoing research; may present ideas to peers in Oracle related technologies. Conducts necessary internal quality assurance, system testing, and load testing to ensure that the application is of high quality when release to users for the UAT phase of the project (manage all necessary migration of software code to/from the respective environments). *QUALIFICATIONS* *Minimum* 10+ years of experience in related field (Oracle EBS implementation and/or solutions architect experience in Oracle E-Business Suite Versions R12, R11i, and Fusion Modules.) Must be an expert in the underlying Oracle Technology Stack and Oracle Applications database architecture with regards to E-business Suite module schemas/products, standard APIs, data elements, tables, and views, data conversion, interfaces, reporting and development. Strong Knowledge of E-Business Suite stack including installation, configuration, maintenance, and patching procedures Demonstrate expert analytical, troubleshooting, and design skills. 7+ years of experience with both Finance and Supply Chain modules - GL, AP, AR, PO, INV, OM, Order information Portal and iReceivables. Strong knowledge of Oracle Applications Manager (OAM) including Workflow and Autoconfig Experience in one or more of Java, JSP, OA Framework/ADF, SOA/BPEL Web Services orchestration. Proven strong experience required in developing solutions that require forms, reports, OAF, XML Publisher, Oracle Workflow, PL/SQL packages/procedures based programming for data conversion and customer interface development. Must have shell scripting experience in Linux/HPUX environment. Proficient in administrating Oracle RAC environments using ASM Proven strong experience with Upgrade/Implementation experience. Tools: Oracle Discoverer, OBIEE, Oracle Web Services, Toad. Operating Systems: HPUX, Red hat Linux and Windows. Strong skills in communication (verbal and written), problem solving and analytical skills. Should be a self-starter and possess the ability to work well in a team atmosphere. *Preferred* Requires BS/BA in related discipline (i.e., Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline) Experience with OA Framework and/or Oracle ADF to develop extensions for EBS applications Hands on experience with Oracle EBS Release 11,12 and/or Fusion modules.
