*Job Title* SQL Server DBA *Project Location* Glendale, CA *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI:- Telephonice + Face To Face* This is a Microsoft SQL Server DBA role largely responsible for providing operational database services to the organization. Some of the primary responsibilities of this role include owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests within SLAs, reviewing service related reports (e.g.: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs, responding to database related alerts and escalations and working with database developers to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems. This SQL Server DBA role requires a service oriented mentality and a high sense of ownership of all issues, incidents, and projects. It requires establishing and maintaining communication with technology customers to keep them updated with the status of their requests, initiating and performing changes on production systems and proactively escalating any issues. This is a leadership role that includes the management of other SQL Database Administrators. It requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a keen ability to work both individually and on a team, while providing leadership and direction to others.
