*Job Title: Business Analyst (API)* *Location: Minneapolis, MN* *Duration: Longterm* *Note: Locals Only* *Responsibilities * § Create integrations between technologies via APIs and web services with both new and existing web technologies with flexible/redundant solutions, easily adaptable to various solutions. § Work closely with teams across varieties of technologies to ensure integration needs are met to the specific needs of each application and usage. § Provide leadership for application release level development (RLD) by: reviewing estimates, participate in status meetings, drive necessary technical changes, and advise team of any technical challenges with planned scope. § Negotiate with clients about requested changes and understand when it should be done - regulatory/breakfix/significant business impact - determine if it should be part of normal release or an emergency release. § Requirement gathering, documentation, and review sessions. Oversight of application analysis reviews. Document action items. Provide approval of requirements. Work closely with management, subject matter experts and technical teams to define business requirements and translate them into technical functional requirements. Business Analyst is responsible for collecting, documenting, and communicating functional product requirements. § Provide and review initial estimates of effort for design and development. Validate detailed estimates from managed service providers or suppliers. § Validate/participate/create in project plans for application design and development work. Review as necessary to ensure timelines are met. § Monitor development defects that are found in production. Provide input to drive process improvements as necessary. § Provide process training as needed to technical resources. § Ensure appropriate skills and process prerequisites for managed service resources. § Provide 3rd level application support for escalated trouble tickets. Represent application and participate in crisis meetings. § Provide 4th level application support for escalated trouble tickets. Represent application and participate in crisis meetings. § Direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems and technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws. § Ensure proper security access are maintained and followed. § Ensure service levels continue to be met with support teams. Address support issues. § Work with Quality Assurance lead to define and validate relevant test scripts for software releases. *Basic Qualifications* § Experience with API solutions and implementations. § Minimum five years experience with analysis/design/development of applications § Minimum three years combined experience with design, development or support of the following: Operating Systems, Databases, Networks, Desktop hardware or software or servers. *Preferred Qualifications* § Minimum one to three years experience with business analysis § Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent. § Working knowledge of Layer 7 or similar Enterprise API solutions. § Technical knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Server based operating systems, Databases, Database connection software, Networks, Desktop software, Computer hardware, Computer systems design, Application design and development, Web services, API’s, User Interfaces § Experience with one or more of these development technologies: PowerBuilder, Java, Domino, .NET, C++, Perl, Visual Basic, Websphere, Notrix, E1M, SAP § Experience with one or more API, web, and data structure technologies: REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, JSONP, YAML, AJAX § Experience with the Managed Service support model § Demonstrated leadership (facilitation, conflict resolution, influencing, negotiating, understanding big picture) § Strong problem solver § Self starter, proactive § Strong written and oral communications skills § Strong software development process § Good planning/project management skills supported with MS Project experience, scope and risk management § Experience with government regulations, FDA CFR Part 11, Sarbanes Oxley, etc. and system validation § In-depth experience with change management and software development life cycle § Team member focused § Drive 'solution' back to requirement § Customer focused § Ability to interpret technical requirements into written statements § Ability to understand and diagram (Visio or comparable) system flows from the ground up § Ability to interact with infrastructure / designers / developers to understand and communicate software / hardware / system limitations § Experience writing business and system use cases § Test case / scenario / script review § Deployment/implementation experience § Associated business process experience *Thanks* * Chris Johnson* *Email:* ch...@appnetglobal.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Business_Intelligence" group.
