*Job Description*



Technical Lead is responsible for guiding the technical efforts of the
onshore and rightshore teams. The lead will be responsible for ensuring
that the best technical approach and practices are applied in all phases of
the application lifecycle. This person will also be responsible for
ensuring the quality of code produced by their team members and consulting
resources.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
• Guide technical efforts of the onshore and right shore team
• Responsible for Estimating the detailed design and development activities
• Responsible for Assigning, tracking and reviewing the development
activities
• Responsible for Ensuring that the best technical approach and practices
are applied in all phases of the application lifecycle
• Responsible for ensuring the quality of code produced by the team members
• Participates in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle to
implement complex applications/technology solutions.
• Applies Agile practices for successful, sustainable delivery of software
solutions.
• Actively participates in requirements, architecture, and design meetings.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment and Source
Control Management.

* Skills and Qualifications:*
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another
related field from an accredited 4 year university
• Atleast 8+ years of development experience in Java and J2EE technologies
• Alteast 3+ years of experience in managing large technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies (JMS, EJB,Servlets)
• Strong knowledge of Web Service standards (SOA, ReST, SOAP, WSDL, JSON) &
XML standards (XML, XML Schema, XLST, XPath etc)
• Experience in implementing solutions using in industry standard open
source frameworks, such as Spring framework, Hibernate, Logging Frameworks,
Object caching, JUnit, integration patterns.
• Experience in developing solutions using Open Source software tools like
Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, SVN and GitHub
• Experience implementing schema and queries in an RDBMS
• Experience in SQL query troubleshooting/performance tuning
• Experience in managing and coordinating offshore and onsite teams
• Experience in Agile development methodologies
• Good knowledge of industry standards/best practices surrounding all
aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience using Agile practices such as TDD, XP, continuous integration,
unit testing to deliver solutions
• Experience with performance testing/tuning is a huge plus
• Experience in Version One Software a plus
• Knowledge of Angular JS is plus
• Scrum Master experience a plus
• Excellent technical communication skills and the ability to work in a
collaborative globally-distributed team
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience in 'Media and Entertainment’ industry desirable
