*Job Title* Sr. Windows Engineer *Project Location* IA-Iowa/Cedar Rapids *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *Skill Set: Sr. Windows Engineer/ ITIL practitioner – foundation plus one more service/ Prince2 practitioner/ Scripting skills/ Microsoft certified Technology Specialist – Windows server and System Centre * *Primary Purpose of the Job: * A Lead Windows Server Engineer is responsible for the technical management of a robust, resilient and efficient Microsoft Windows Server environment. >From high-level design of projects to detailed design and delivery of individual components, it is the Leads responsibility to create, deliver and support both internal and external projects. Performing project management and project implementation through to support. Leads will also be SME in one or more function. Performing tasks such as detailed design, installation, and configuration and upgrading of servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment. Leads main task are to influence and direct internally and externally, support and mentor seniors to ensure a continually improved and efficient service. Leads will enforce good design and standards while also providing investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure. Leads will also perform man management tasks either through project management or delivery of support functions *Key Duties, Accountabilities and Responsibilities: * • Deliver detailed design for server and server components • Continually review, develop and implement processes and procedures that meet AEGON security and compliance standards • Mentor and coach all other staff including top-techs and engineering. • Represent team in projects, empowered to make project and strategic decisions • Manage team members as part of a project or functional support service • Be a Subject Matter expert in one or more field • Seen as a “go to person” not just for technical ability but also for influence in rest of team • Leads will have some budget and license management responsibilities • Maintain software applications, operating systems, firmware and hardware through regular maintenance. • Support assigned projects and install and implement in accordance to project objectives and design standards • Perform troubleshooting and incident and problem management and meet AEGON’s service level objectives • Perform monitoring tasks to pro-actively review and maintain the Windows server estate and where possible develop automation tasks to improve organizational efficiencies • Other duties as assigned based on divisional needs. • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all health and safety rules. • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance. *Required Qualifications: * (List required education level and/or equivalent experience, and any additional required skills or certifications essential for the role) • Educated to degree standard or equivalent • ITIL practitioner – foundation plus one more service • Prince2 practitioner • Scripting skills • Man management skills • Excellent Incident and problem management skills • Strong documentation standards • Microsoft certified Technology Specialist – Windows server and System Centre • VMware certified • Active Directory skills • Project delivery skills working in small to Enterprise sized projects• -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Business_Intelligence" group.
