Clifton Forge is in far western VA, almost WVA</strong><br><strong>***ALL candidates MUST be able to attend a personal interview in Clifton Forge, VA, NO phone interviews, NO Skype, NO exceptions</strong><br><strong>***ALL work is to be performed onsite in Clifton Forge, VA</strong><br><br>This position will work with the developers and system engineers to update/confirm system design documentation to reflect the as-built condition of the current systems including documenting project code as well as providing documentation <br><br><br><strong>PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul> <li>Experience composing technical documents including User's Manuals, design documents, flow charts, training materials, installation guides, proposals and reports.</li> <li>Experience conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology.</li> <li>Experience editing functional descriptions, system specifications, and user's manuals.</li> <li>Experience organizing material and completing writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, conciseness, style, and terminology.</li> <li>Working with developer and system engineering staff (up to 6 staff) to obtain the understanding and information needed to complete the documentation.</li> <li>Required Skills:</li> <li>Minimum 3 years experience as a Technical Writer.</li> <li>BS Degree (CS, IS, Eng, Business, technical discipline) or an equivalent combination of experience and education</li> <li>Experience documenting transactional software, user interfaces and databases.</li> <li>Technology:</li> <li>Ideally will have some familiarity with web development, HTML; JavaScript; ASP.NET; Java; VB.NET, SQL databases, networks and server configuration.</li> </ul><p>We wish to thank all applicants for their interest and effort in applying for this position; however, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
