*Role Description:*

1. HP VMS Admin L3

2. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3. Ready to work in 24x7 support model



*Essential Skills*

1.       Must possess an advanced knowledge in following operating systems
as OpenVMS and HPUX and their associated hardware platforms. Primary
emphasis paid to OpenVMS.

2.       Must be proficient in system performance monitoring and capacity
planning.

3.       Experience in Monitoring Mainframe consoles/images and performs
proactive maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades and patch
installation on Windows and UNIX platforms.

4.        Maintain the system, data backup procedures and command files.

5.        Maintain and manage batch, generic, print queues.

6.        Maintain sysgen parameters tuning and troubleshooting.

7.        Installation of layered products installations and
troubleshooting.

8.        Should have knowledge on scripting languages to automate systems
and application management functions (such as DCL and Perl).

9.       Experience in maintain the system, data backups, restoration, user
account management and maintenance.

10.   Disk quota Management, Disk Fragmentation analysis.

11.   Perform all maintenance and troubleshooting of Operating system
issues.

12.   Installation, management and administration of HP-UX.

13.   Evaluate system performances & report metrics to management

14.   Writing shell scripts for system administration tasks.

15.   Configuration of UNIX applications like DNS, Syslog and other system
tools.

16.   Performance tuning, configuring & upgrading Operating Systems.

17.   Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of High Availability
environment using MC Service Guard.

18.   Installation and configuration of HP -ignite environment and able to
create and verify Golden image.

19.   Configuration and administration of HP Logical volume manager

20.   Excellent troubleshooting skills
