Frontend Web Developer for Atlanta. Duration: 12 Months Rate: $45/Hr Position Description Develop web pages, templates, scripts and other processes that produce content and syndication for the NASCAR.com group of Turner Digital Media Technologies. " Follows tasks through a development life cycle (coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying, monitoring, and support) in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards. " Contributes to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities. " Participates in the analysis, definition, and scoping of efficient, cost effective application solutions. " Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g. business development, database development, web designers, end-user training). Qualifications (background, education, experience, and other requirements) EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 5 years experience developing Web sites for business purposes. Thorough understanding of the web and web browsers, their capabilities and their limitations. *Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (both in general and with libraries such as prototype, scriptaculous and jQuery). *Experience in Unix command line required. Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Attention to details, a must. Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively. *QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Development experience with PERL/CGI, Flash/Actionscript, content automation and source control a plus.
