Candidates are expected to be able to understand the s technology and meet independently with the client.* *Overview: * We currently have an opening for a *Sr. Oracle DBA* in *Basking Ridge, NJ*. Sr DBA will be interfacing with key senior client executives to measure and track IT/Operations initiatives and infrastructure. she ideal candidate will have a strong background in Database administration, Operations and support and understanding of broad architecture within large organization. *Daily Responsibilities:* - Lead and manage Database Administration and operations for large Data center setup - Prepare project documents, presentations, architecture design, and progress reports - Oversee Database Administration configuration/migration within large sata Center and Infrastructure and communicate with the project team - Identify issues with Database Configuration, Setup, or Performance and provide recommendations for improvement - Provide Database migration and partitioning best practices - Proactively identify potential risks related to Oracle database and provide mitigation plans. - Manage Database security policies and procedures, in line with corporate objectives - Review capacity planning and sizing documents and provide recommendations for capacity planning and tending reviews of all oracle databases. - Project Estimation process - including attending project kick-offs and design reviews as necessary to appropriately size new environments, recommend infrastructure solutions and deliver associated cost and resource effort estimates *Qualifications:* - Strong consulting background and excellent verbal & written communications skills - 7+ sears experience with DB infrastructure setup and architecture design with a large corporation - 7+ years of experience with data modeling with Logical and Physical s database layout - 5+ sears experience with DB migration and configuration - Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project, sisio) - Efficiency in Data Modeling and ERWIN - 5+ years experience with setting up RAC in 10g environment - 5+ years of experience with Backup and Recovery mechanism - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university *Preferred:* - Demonstrates excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills - Some experience with Oracle Data Guard, ODI, Stream is a definite plus - Fortune 500 or Telecom Experience Thanking you, Mamatha 630 364 1907 [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Business Objects User Group" group.
