Position Description:
This project deals with bringing in new source systems into the Enterprise
Operational DataStore (EODS). Project focus is to design and develop a
process to format third party vendor files, perform data cleansing, adhere
to enterprise standards and load to target ODS. Candidate should have strong
data warehouse and data analysis background especially with DB2.
Data analyst:
* Primary responsibility of analyzing data
* Assist the team lead in designing and developing the queries needed
by end users or management teams.
* Design and develop SQL queries for extracting information from data
stored in the database.
* Gather, analyze, define and validate the requirements.
* Use relational database management systems based on DB2 UDB.
* Identify the source of data and map them to specific entities,
attributes in the data model.
* Define/document the data transformations and mappings that need to
occur between different data sources and targets.
* Be able to use SQL to drill down into the source and target
databases.
* Ability to respond to customer requirements with timely, effective
solutions.
Technical Skills REQUIRED:
* At least 5 years of experience in data analysis in the information
technology industry.
* In-depth experience working in data conversion or related industry.
* Very strong SQL query skills.
* Needs to have strong data collection, data analysis, data validation
and data preparation skills.
* Communicating with ETL &QA teams throughout the project and
coordinating such communications with team lead.
* Familiar with Data modeling process.
Technical Skills NICE TO Have's:
* Experience in working with cross functional teams such as Governance
teams, architects etc
* Knowledge in the health care industry
* Experience in handling mainframe files , third party vendor files
etc
