*Job Description:* The Core Connectivity team is seeking a motivated, *embedded
Linux software developer* with excellent communication and problem solving
skills. You will join a dynamic team responsible for developing future
connectivity, multimedia, and telematics platforms. We are developing
cutting edge infotainment products for the next generation of automobiles.
*Knowledge/Skills: *
- Knowledge and experience with the following required: *Linux, embedded
programming and debugging.* Desirable: working knowledge of Freescale *iMX35
microprocessor.*
- Knowledge and experience with the following required: *Linux kernel /
device driver modules.* Preferred knowledge will include hands-on
expertise with *Multi Media Card (MMC) software layer, mx_sdhci, kernel
version Linux kernel 2.6.24, Secure Digital Input Output (SDIO) stack, UART
driver.*
- Expert in embedded *C programming* and debugging. Optionally, C++
programming skills – the current project is all embedded C.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and building Linux distributions.
- Hands-on experience with *Linux GNU tools.*
- Experience with Freescale Boards Support Package for iMX315 a plus.
- Experience working directly with *prototype hardware.*
- Ability and willingness to work well with the local internal product
development teams using our platform as well as teams overseas. Must have
excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful
resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
- Working knowledge of DOORS, Clearcase and ClearQuest is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in EE, Computer Science, or equivalent required.
- MS in EE, Computer Science or equivalent is a plus.
