*DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES*
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one
Business Analyst, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general
qualifications of *ITSAC Business Analyst 2 Category, Core Technology
Type*and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas
Department of
Transportation (TXDOT).
All work products resulting from the project shall be
considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the TXDOT. TXDOT
may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their
Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by
the Texas law. TXDOT will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which
occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s).
*POSITION DESCRIPTION: *
The worker will facilitate the documentation of business requirements and
process modeling leading to the development and implementation of a
replacement for TxDOT’s existing Salary and Labor Distribution (SLD) module.
This replacement module will serve as an interim solution until the new
statewide ERP system, which is based on PeopleSoft 9.1, is deployed.
Specific tasks:
A. Analysis of the current SLD and ETSA applications and
all modules with which interfaces are required
B. Extracting and documenting requirements and business
processes from various stakeholders (Finance, Human Resources, etc.) within
TxDOT to ensure knowledge transfer for application development
C. Analysis of workflows required to support TxDOT’s SLD
Interim (SLDI) processes until ERP is deployed
D. Documentation (Word, Visio, data flow, etc.) of the
required functional and technical specifications
E. Interface with TxDOT business and technical personnel
regarding the SDLI project
F. Assist in development of a roadmap for construction and
deployment of the new SLDI
G. Assist in development of testing process and test cases
to result in successful deployment of the new SLDI
H. Acquire approval of each deliverable with TSD in a
technical meeting/walkthrough
I. Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals
J. Provides reporting status to TSD team lead and other
TSD management in a bi-weekly or monthly time period
K. Other tasks as assigned
