*Location: Hartford, CT* *Duration: 12+ Month* *Role Summary/Purpose* The role of the ProjectManager, Datawarehousing is to plan, design, develop and maintain the overalldata strategy, architecture, models and standards for the Rail DWH/BIenvironment. of projects to creatively implement decision support requirements.The position analyzes end user business functions and information requirementsto determine how decision support and OLAP might assist in addressing theirinformation needs, then translates these needs into system requirements anddesigns. * * *Essential Responsibilities* · Ensure new features and subject areas are modeled tointegrate with existing data warehouse structures and provide a consistent view · Provide direction on adoption of new technologies/best industry practices in the field of data warehouse/Business Intelligencearchitecture and modeling · Create / Enforce DW/BI development standards · Facilitates the gathering, consolidation andprioritization of client business requirements for various BI projects acrossthe enterprise · Participates in creating end state functional businessintelligence vision and implementation plan · Participates in designing and developing thearchitecture for all business intelligence solution components · Contributes to the design of business intelligenceapplication solutions including database design, ETL, report design andanalytics integration · Translates business requirements into functionalapplication requirements and logical data model requirements · Performs source system analysis, identifies key dataissues and performs data profiling · Captures and compiles meta data and helps define anddeploy BI meta data strategy · Create, implement and maintain policies, proceduresand SLA's · Build and manage common ETL Informatica & BusinessObjects universe components *Qualifications/Requirements* • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, with significant businessexperience • 5 or more years of experience in data warehousingin a Systems Analysis role with emphasis on decision support systems isdesirable • Experience working with accounting and financialsystems and users.
